Our privacy policy has been reviewed and set out to underline the new rights for individuals within the new laws. The Data Protection Act 1998 was replaced by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on 25 May 2018. This major change has occurred to help protect and unify the way that an individual’s data is managed throughout the European Union (EU).

 

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We generally ask for your personal information when you contact us to make an enquiry for more information or make a purchase. Depending on which of these services you use, we may collect:

  • your name and contact information including postal address, e-mail address and telephone number, even if you do not complete your booking;
  • details of any bookings that you place with us, and any details we need for payment;
  • Your preferences and use of email updates, recorded by emails we send you (if you select to receive our newsletter and email updates on services and offers).
  • details you provide when you contact us or make enquiries either generally or about any bookings you make with us
  • information you provide if you report a problem with any of our services.
  • a tracking pixel that is recorded by our web server when you request any page or component on the website. This information is used to monitor your usage of the website. This information will not uniquely identify you as an individual and is used for analytics purposes only.
  • data recorded by the website which allows us to recognise you and your preferred settings, this saves you from re-entering information on return visits to the site. We collect this only if you have opted in to allowing cookies, therefore giving your consent.

What we do with your information

Depending on how you engage with us, we may use your information:

  • to facilitate your use of this website and the services available through it;
  • when you make a booking from us, to process your order, collect payment and for other purchase related services (this may include contacting you by telephone, email or instant messaging to arrange, confirm or upgrade your booking) and for ongoing customer service dealings including any refunds;

  • for statistical analysis to assess our business performance and to improve our services;

Who do we share it with

We do not share your data with any third parties except as provided in this Privacy Notice or as required by law. We will not share personal data with third parties for Direct Marketing by those parties without your consent.

INSPIRED THERAPY may also disclose your personal information to the police, regulators, law enforcement or other government agency where the law requires this, where appropriate to prevent or detect criminal activity, or in connection with product safety, and otherwise to relevant third parties to protect INSPIRED THERAPY, its business, staff and customers.

What rights you have over your data

  • the right to ask us what data we hold on you. If requested, we aim to give a quick and clear response explaining what data we hold and why we are holding it.
  • the right to have your data deleted. Again, we will comply quickly with such requests. Please be aware that we cannot delete certain data, for example the Inland Revenue requires us to keep sales invoices for several years for taxation purposes.

All patient notes are kept filed and locked away. All computer systems are password protectedWhilst we have policies, rules and measures in place and try to take all reasonable steps to safeguard your personal information, INSPIRED THERAPY cannot guarantee the security of any information you provide online.

Any cookies or tracking pixels are to be used for analytics purposes only and will not identify individual users.
