It's important to remember that these feelings are valid and ok, and that we are not alone in our struggles. The key is to remember that you will be feeling these emotions for a reason, and it is just understanding and accepting them that will start to get you through.

We don't have to go through it alone, we offer wellness and support packages that are designed to help support you through these difficult times. Please contact us to talk, and see what might benefit you

"I was scared for my life, I have never felt such emotions all at once, scared, worried, anxious and a massive loss of confidence. Vicki listened to my worries and really helped boost my confidence back up. I honestly don't know where or how I would have been if it wasn't for her. She has helped me so much to get myself back to me."

Effective Collaboration: Building Trust and Achieving

Disabled Facilities Grant
Support

We know that trying to get in contact with the relevant team can be a long process, so we offer help with liaising with others involved in the work, such as council grant officers and occupational therapists.

There is sometimes work that is essential to help a vulnerable/disabled person live an independent life.

You can, for example, get a disabled facilities grant for the following:

- Making it easier to get in and out of your home, for example, by widening doors or providing ramps

- Making it easier to get to a living room, bedroom, toilet, bathroom or kitchen, for example, by putting in a stairlift, or providing a downstairs bathroom

- Making it easier or safer to get access to your garden

- Providing suitable bathroom or kitchen facilities

- Providing or improving a heating system

- Ensuring your safety, for example, by providing a specially adapted room in which it would be safe to leave you unattended, or by providing improved lighting for better visibility

- Helping you get around at home so you can care for someone who lives with you and needs care.

The DFG (Disabled Facilities Grant) is a valuable resource that can make a significant difference in the lives of those with disabilities, allowing them to live comfortably and safely in their own homes.

The Unpredictable Journey of Emotions

Facing the Facts: A Reliable Perspective

I believe in understanding the unpredictable nature of emotions is essential when offering support. When someone listens to you and offers comfort during times of distress, it creates a sense of trust and security.

By acknowledging and accepting our ever-changing feelings, we can navigate through life's ups and downs with grace and resilience.

Just having someone there to listen, understand, and offer support can provide immense relief and comfort.

It reminds us that we are not alone in our struggles and that there is someone willing to lend an ear, a helping hand and it doesn't have to big gestures.

"Vicki is a lovely young lady with a heart of gold. Just a chat with her about everyday life brightens our day."

Diane's Journey With Us

I had the pleasure of meeting Diane Jay, a lovely lady whose determination and patience was inspiring. I was able to be a part of her journey, not only through her home adaptations, but her journey in using a prosthetic limb.

There was no doubting that the works being carried out would help improve her quality of life. Diane was extremely thankful and was really looking forward to life being a little bit easier and safer for her and it is this feeling of gratefulness that commonly overrides the heightened emotions, stress and temporary disruptions she would go through having such improvements.

During my time with Diane, I reassured her that the feelings she was experiencing were ok and encouraged her to let them out, openly and honestly, putting the focus on her wellbeing.

"As I'm a wheelchair user, I was so miserable using my kitchen, until Brickwall Property came along. They got to work transforming my kitchen into a dream kitchen for my disability. More than that, it looked something like out of a glossy magazine. Vicki was amazing, every time I had a query she was right on it, she went beyond what was required of her."
